On the occasion of the bicentenary of the birth of Duke George II of Saxony-Meiningen (1826-1914) and as part of the Lombard 19th Century Network Weekend, Villa Carlotta is offering a unique itinerary to discover its ''green monuments.''

Trees have so much to tell: through a guided observation of shapes, sizes, colors, and textures, participants will learn to recognize the fundamental role and ecosystem services provided by nature. Just like Duke George II, adults and children alike will become passionate about botanical art by creating their own personal notebooks where they can draw silhouettes, trace paths, and sketch the textures of leaves and bark.
